11 books for the heart and mind
The first five books are part of a Religious Journey series that attempts, in stepwise fashion, to answer the following “what?” questions:
What is the evidence for the existence of God?
What can we know about the nature of God?
What is the purpose of humanity in God’s universe?
What was it like following Jesus in the first century?
What facts about the Bible are important to know?
The other six books are more random. There’s a collection of Christmas stories for children and the young at heart. Another offering is a sampling of some of my Dad’s sermons over the course of his years as a pastor. In Corner of the Cot, I provide a history of the early years of our medical ministry in Guatemala. For laypersons interested in biblical languages, I’ve included Hebrew and Greek primers geared especially to them. The most recent book, completed just in time for my seventieth birthday, is a series of daily reflections on the psalms. Taken together, these books will engage both your heart and mind and will do so in every season of your soul.
